Who could resist picking up this tiny gentleman?!

Remember that movie Oliver & Company? From 1988, about a little orange kitten out of a liter in New York City, but no one comes to take him from the box of free kittens. The story follows his coming of age, as he wonders the tough streets of the Big Apple, scared and helpless. He finds a dog to befriend, though it wasn't a straight and narrow path to get there. Eventually a little redhead girl adopts him. Her pretentious poodle pet has an issue, and things become tense, but it ends with everyone happy, and Oliver gets the home he always deserved, human and dog friends alike. In the story below, it starts out very similarly. The stray orange kitten was put in a box of other kittens from the same liter. Every other kitten out of the bunch was chosen, except for this handsome guy.

An excited guy who's always wanted a cat comes around and sees this little orange angel all alone. He scoops him up, feeling like he finally won the cat distribution lottery. He immediately calls him his own, but doesn't know what to actually name him. Though he dresses him in a fancy, snazzy bowtie, he seeks internet advice on what to call him. Frito, Cheddar, and Dan are all thrown out as suggestions, but you'll have to read the full story to figure out what he ends up naming the little guy. Enjoy!

I've always wanted an orange cat. Maybe it's because I'm a redhead, and I just find the idea that I would be double orange with my kitty so adorable, but I didn't make that decision when I got my cat! He's so purrfectly cute, he's a striped boy and he almost looks like a racoon sometimes. He's my purrfect prince in every way except for the fur! Sometimes I really wonder why I took him instead of an orange cat. But life works in mysterious ways, and maybe one day I'll still have an orange cat of my own. The story is adorable, and it's so shocking someone wouldn't take such a cutie!
